英語を日本で使ういちばんの
シチュエーションとして
外国人に対する道案内だと思います！！
なので、今回は英語での道案内の仕方
について話したいと思います。
まずは、語彙についてご紹介します。
Turn left 左に曲がる
Turn right 右に曲がる
Go straight 真っ直ぐ進む
Go past 通り過ぎる
Go along 沿って行く
Cross 渡る、反対側へ行く
At the corner of 角にある
Next to 隣に
Opposite 向かい
Between の間に
質問の仕方
○Could you tell me where … ？
～はどこにあるか教えて頂けますか
○Could you tell me the way to … ？
～への行き方を教えて頂けますか
○Do you know where is … ?
どこに ～ があるか、教えていただけませんか
○How do （can）I get to… ?
～へはどのように行けばよいのでしょうか
説明の流れ
A: Excuse me. Where’s the science lab?
B: It’s opposite classroom 7.
A: Oh, right. Where’s that? I’m new here.
B: Oh, OK. Go along this corridor and turn right.
A: Yes….
B: Go through the doors and go up the stairs to the first floor.
B: Turn right. Go past the library. The science lab is on the left.
A: Could you repeat that, please? Turn right, go past …
B: Turn right. Go past the library. The science lab is on the left.
A: Thank you so much.
B: That’s ok.
話しかける時
○Hello, are you lost?
道に迷っていますか？
○Excuse me, can I help you find your way?
道案内しましょうか？
○You seem lost, may I help you?
道に迷ってらっしゃるようですが、
お手伝いしましょうか？
○May I help you?
何かお困りですか？
スマホを使って調べる
○I don’t know this area very well,
but I can look it up for you.
この辺はあまり詳しくないのですが、
調べてあげられます。
○I‘m not sure I can help ,
but let me check my phone.
ちょっと分からないのですが、
携帯で調べて見ますね。
目的地まで一緒に行く
○It’s difficult to explain. I’ll take you there.
説明が難しいのでそこまで一緒に行きます。
○It’s easier if I take you there.
一緒に行ったほうが分かりやすいので
そこまでご案内します。
